OLED: Also referred to as Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) these devices use organic materials to create an image rather than an LCD or LED image. While true OLED technology has yet to be mass-produced, researchers continue to innovate at a rapid pace and by 2020 there will be less than one pound of OLED in each television set sold compared to twenty-five pounds of LCD.
